A relatable story that helps build empathy with the characters, allowing to explore difficult topics. As you jump in to A Normal Lost Phone you’ll start on the messages screen, with Dad sending you some new messages. There’s loads of background info and characters in the messages that will become relevant to the story later, or hint at things to come, so reading through all of them is advised. To delve deeper into the phone, you’ll need to activate the WiFi for Melren. You need the password, which is hinted at in Uncle Raymond’s messages. You can check Uncle Raymond, and then Teo’s messages to get a hint. Gameplay

Both games are played entirely as a simulation of a cell phone. In each game, the player is tasked with voyeuristically searching through a lost cell phone, in order to discover what happened to its owner. Each game features puzzles where the player will have to use clues inferred from one part of the phone to unlock another, such as figuring out a character’s birth year which is used as a password for one app by inferring this information from another part of the app. The concept requires the player to violate the privacy of the phone’s owner. The original game’s premise, in particular, became an issue among players who had concerns about its treatment of privacy, and how it dealt with the lead character’s identity and secret. Steam Reviews

Piecing together the story of a stranger through what’s left in their discarded phone was a cool and interesting way to convey a narrative. The puzzles required to progress aren’t anything special, but they’re not bad or anything either. The strengths of this game definitely lie in it’s narrative though. It’s short, and deals with some heavy LGBTQ+ themes and issues that may make some players recall past trauma, but it deals with these topics well and with empathy. This game made me feel very uncomfortable at times. You’re obviously going way beyond what’s appropriate to do with someone else’s lost phone, and intruding very deep into their private life. I suppose that’s a good thing; it means I care. Liftoff: FPV Drone Racing

A Normal Lost Phone Free Download Repacklab

This was a very short and simple game, about a normal lost phone, which uncovers secrets of a trans girl named Samira! I really enjoyed it, the soundtrack was fantastic, the art was beautiful and it was fairly easy to go through the game. Upfront, to make it clear, this isn’t really a puzzle game (it only features about 2-3 instances you could count in that regard, mostly getting a code somewhere). It’s rather a kind of story that develops via the chat logs you discover while playing. But, oh man, the way it does that can get kind of intense I really loved this game. It’s not an entirely long one but is heavily text based (so for those snoops out there, it’ll take a bit). A really good take and perspective into an instance of LGBTQ+ issues.
