Honey, I Joined a Cult Free Download  Look, y’all know me. I’m your friend Brock. I love anything having to do with a cult. Hell, I went out and found my own, once. And this week, I talked about cults and games YET AGAIN. So, I was a little surprised when an indie cult game snuck under my radar. It is named, pleasantly, Honey, I Joined A Cult. The game looks to be Prison Architect but for building and controlling a gaggle of beautiful dummies that want to worship whatever type of dumb God you want to make up. There’s also a bounty of funky 70s jams to keep the mood light as you fleece your flock. Repacklab.com sexy games

    1. Maintain a cult from its recruitment to its wealth…. or is it your own wealth.
    2. Build a commune with bedrooms, hypno-chambers, temples and monoliths.
    3. Send minions out to spread the ideals of the commune or just to pinch expensive stuff for the members.
    4. Overcome threats from the government, police and protesters.
    5. Choose your cult’s destiny, whether it be a fiery apocalypse or the coming of the Squid Lord.

The game seems cleverly designed, allowing you to set the focus of your followers obsessions, including sacred objects they worship at and the kind of outfits they’ll wear. But there’s also the technical side of cult management, including making sure your people have adequate propaganda to read in the library, places to sleep so they can never leave, and of course interrogation rooms with polygraph machines — you know, to find the unbelievers.

Base Building

You can only check out the trailer on the game’s Steam page right now, which is an excellent way to make you go there right now. There’s also currently a different pretty great game about cults out. We liked Cultist Simulator around these parts. Team17 and Sole Survivor Games have revealed they will be bringing their new 1970’s-based cult management simulator, Honey, I Joined a Cult to Steam Early Access on 14th September. Expect to manage everything, from the deity to worship and cult attire to recruitment of new believers and the location of the toilets. Be one with the video below where you will get to see all the benefits to joining. SURV1V3

Running a cult isn’t all wealth and rose petals from adoring members, it’s actually a lot of work. Taking the role of cult architect, players will have to manage everything from law enforcement and protesters to ensuring the facilities are there to care for the believers, not to mention having to keep control of the leader’s over-inflated ego. It’s up to players to plan the propaganda to recruit cultists, keep them entertained and happy and make the organisation as successful as possible. Keeping them happy is easier said than done and it will be necessary to build the commune from the ground up, creating rooms such as bedrooms, bathrooms, temples and even ‘hypno chambers’. Happiness leads to peace, peace leads to more cultists and more cultists equals more money.

Customise your cult

It’s as you expect as a colony sim or something simulator to Prison Architect. Not too bad and I didn’t run into any bugs when I played. UI is easy to use and everything is understandable during the tutorial stage. There’s witty and comical parts of the game that I enjoyed thoroughly. Building is smooth too. One of my major complaint is how slow it feels when you’re sorta established. I have plenty of money to build but I’m just sitting there because there’s nothing new I can do except wait for research to complete for new things to do which I found quite boring waiting. Maybe in the future this will be dealt with or maybe that’s the grind, but it got dull for me during that. Nothing to really do except constantly wait for research. UBOAT

Second is the followers get bored and they go back to the lobby, wait and become unhappy. I typically click on the unhappy ones and send them in the room with a preacher just so they are doing something. IMO, there should be a way to mass select unhappy followers just so I can force them to go somewhere so they don’t quit and leave, or have them not return back to the lobby. Regardless, I see the kind of challenge to this but they get bored really quickly of everything. Thirdly the maintenance seem to not repair much when something breaks. I have a lot of perks and three people who maintain the place but it’s just like they ignore it half the time.

Manage your cult

Regardless, Early Access. Hopefully during development it’ll get better! I can live with the other stuff if something is done to just sitting there waiting day after day for research completion. So far it’s been fun. The dialogue is quite amusing to read and I appreciate the simplicity and ease of access of all the current features. As always with Early Access games there are and will be bugs, I’ve discovered one that is unfortunately mildly game breaking. During the tutorial, if your maintenance worker fixes your podium before the game prompts you to manually assign it to them, upon receiving said ‘quest’ the game becomes ‘stuck’ as you can no longer select the podium for repair and can not unfreeze time or progress until the ‘action/quest’ is completed. However, I simply just went to the menu and started a new game using what I learned already from the tutorial. I believe the game has real potential so I’ll certainly be playing around it in more, just remember it’s Early Access there will be bugs, but with bugs comes patches and fixes. Unless you’re Todd Howard, then they become features. Yep, in this game you create a cult to gain money from your trust followers in order to expand your cult. By create a facility building for serving your customers (low rank followers) activities such as meditation, yoga, etc. And manage your staff (high rank members) by satisfy their need like food, sleep, shower, etc. so they can serve you customer better. If you start to feel like this is a management game, yes, it is. The cult is just a theme, because it is a business after all, and money make your cult go around. There are missions where you can send your staff with the right skills around to get reward, and there is a research tree too, like in many other games in this genre. WARIOWARE: GET IT TOGETHER!
